Our Jurisdictional Adjutancy Corps of 7th Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Illinois, Church Of God In Christ, Inc.,
was formed in 1995 under the guidance of Elder Charles H. Downs. This all took place while 7th Jurisdiction of Illinois
was then 7th Illinois Fellowship, while waiting to be recognized by the National Church Of God In Christ. Elder Charles
H. Downs was the first Chief Adjutant who participated in the elevation and consecration of the then Bishop-Designate R. D.
Edward Goodwin, Sr., in 1996.
In 1997, National Adjutant Overseer Allen Smith became the Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant of 7th Jurisdiction
of Illinois, he served faithfully until he moved to Memphis,Tennessee in 2002. In 2002, Bishop Goodwin, appointed the Elder
Arthur Lee as the Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant. His tenure lasted until 2004. In June of 2004, The Elder Timothy Trent
was appointed Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant. He served faithfully until 2005, when he relocated to New York. In 2005,
Elder Dale Draper of Kokomo, Indiana was appointed Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant, he served until the latter of 2006. In 2006,
the Elder Maurice D.L. Clark was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Bishop in Charge of Ceremonies. Elder Clark had
previously served as Assistant Chief Adjutant and Episcopal Adjutant to the Bishop. In June of 2007, Elder Maurice D.L.
Clark was officially appointed as the Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant. As we are moving in the year 2008, we can only
expect Greater from God in our Adjutancy. These men and Women have or is serving now as Jurisdictional Adjutant's of 7th.
*this means that they are also National Adjutant's. Much recogintion should be given to Mother Velma Haynes who has served
as Adjutant Sister Director, (Formerly called Adjutant Mother) of 7th Jurisdiction of Illinois for all of 7th's 12 years of
existence.
